Most take a second or two plus the upload. In our tests a 512 × 512 photo converted in well under a second, and a 4000 × 3000 phone photo from JPG to PNG took about 4 seconds; tracing and CAD files can take longer.
Each converter page lists what its conversion keeps and loses. Raster-to-vector traces areas darker than mid-gray into shapes of one color, so it suits logos, signatures and line art, not photos. A JPG made from another image format is saved at quality 90 (95 from SVG, EPS and DXF).

You'll see a clear error message. Common causes: unsupported format, corrupted file, or size over the 50 MB limit. Re-uploading usually resolves it. If not, contact support.
Each session handles one format pair (e.g., PNG → SVG). Run separate sessions for each output format needed.
Image size, DPI and the color profile are kept where the output format can store them. EXIF data (camera, date, GPS location) is not copied, for privacy; phone photos are turned upright first.
Vectorization traces a pixel image into shapes that stay sharp when enlarged. Use it for logos, icons, signatures and laser-cutting outlines. Our tracer produces one color, so start from a clean, high-contrast image.
Yes — you can convert back. However, raster-to-vector creates a traced version, so converting back to raster won't restore the original pixel data exactly.

Formats
Raster (PNG, JPEG, GIF): pixel-based, fixed dimensions, blurs when scaled up. Vector (SVG, EPS, DXF): shapes described by paths, which stay sharp at any print size — suited to logos and line art.
PNG: transparency, graphics, logos, screenshots, lossless quality. JPEG: photographs, no transparency needed, smaller file sizes, web images where slight compression is acceptable.
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a vector format for the web. It stays sharp when resized, is usually small, can be edited in code or design software, and supports transparency. It suits icons, logos and illustrations.
EPS is the professional print standard — used in Adobe Illustrator, publishing workflows, and logo delivery for high-quality print materials.
DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is a CAD format used in AutoCAD, CNC machining, laser cutting, and technical drawing workflows.
For websites, usually yes. Google reports lossy WebP files 25–34% smaller than comparable JPEGs; WebP supports transparency and animation, and all current browsers show it. Some older programs still cannot open it.
TIFF is a high-quality lossless format for professional photography, print publishing, medical imaging, and archival purposes.
GIF suits simple animations and maximum compatibility with older systems. For static images with transparency, PNG is usually superior.
BMP is an uncompressed Windows bitmap format. Large file sizes, lossless quality, and simple structure — used mainly for Windows-specific applications.

Converters take 10 files per batch and 50 MB per file. Tools that use our server also have an hourly limit per visitor; if you reach it, wait a while and try again. Animations are limited to 50 million pixels across all frames.

Security
Yes — uploads use HTTPS. Tools that run in your browser never upload your file; tools that need our server delete it automatically within 2 hours.

There is no registration, so we do not ask for your name. We store your email only if you subscribe to the newsletter. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked before analytics cookies are set; see the Privacy Policy for details.
We implement strong security measures, but we advise against uploading highly sensitive materials to any online service. For confidential content, consider offline conversion tools.
