1 Acceptance of Terms

By using PortImg in any form — visiting portimg.com, using any tool on the website, or installing and using the Android app — you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA) and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using PortImg on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2 Description of Service

PortImg provides free online and mobile tools for image processing and document handling, including format conversion, resizing, compression, PDF editing, OCR, and related tasks. The service is offered via:

• Website: portimg.com — accessible via any modern web browser, no account or installation required.
• Android App: The official PortImg Android application, available as a direct APK download from portimg.com.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any such changes.

3 Acceptable Use

You agree to use PortImg only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Upload files containing illegal content, malware, viruses, or material that infringes any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or scripts to access the service in a way that burdens or disrupts our infrastructure.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or tamper with the website, Android app, or any underlying systems.
• Process content involving the sexual exploitation of minors (CSAM) or any other illegal or harmful content.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use the service in any way that could expose PortImg or its users to legal liability.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of access and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement authorities.

4 Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, and design elements on PortImg — including the website and Android app — are the intellectual property of PortImg and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws.

• You retain full ownership of any files you upload. We claim no rights over your content whatsoever.
• By uploading a file, you grant us a temporary, limited, royalty-free licence to process that file solely to deliver the service you requested.
• This licence ends automatically when your file is deleted from our servers (within 1 hour of processing for server-side tools).
• You must not use PortImg's name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission.

5 File Processing and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the files you upload and process using PortImg. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights, licences, and permissions to upload and process the files.
• Processing your files does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
• You will keep original copies of all important files before processing. PortImg is not responsible for any data loss resulting from processing.

For server-side tools, uploaded files are automatically deleted within 1 hour. For client-side tools, files are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to our servers.

6 Analytics and Third-Party Services

PortImg integrates with third-party analytics and webmaster tools to monitor and improve service performance:

• Google Analytics 4: Collects anonymised usage data (page views, sessions, device type). IP anonymisation is enabled.
• Google Search Console: Provides search performance data (impressions, clicks, queries) to improve discoverability.
• Bing Webmaster Tools: Equivalent search performance data for Bing and Microsoft Search.

These tools are governed by their respective providers' terms and privacy policies. No personal identifiers or file contents are shared with these platforms.

7 Advertising

Currently, no advertisements are displayed on PortImg. We may introduce advertising in the future (e.g., Google AdSense or other networks) to support the free service. If and when advertising is introduced:

• We will update this Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy before enabling ads.
• For EEA/UK users, a valid consent mechanism will be provided before personalised ads are served.
• Uploaded files will never be used for advertising targeting.
• Ads will be clearly labelled and distinguishable from content at all times.

8 Disclaimer of Warranties

PortImg is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will meet any specific standard of accuracy. Tool outputs are provided for convenience — always retain originals of important files. Use the service at your own discretion and risk.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PortImg and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to loss of files, loss of profits, or damage to your device. Our total cumulative liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free users is zero).

10 Third-Party Services and Links

PortImg may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Google Play policies for app distribution, Google AdSense for future advertising). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of any third-party service. We encourage you to review the applicable terms and policies of any third party you interact with through our platform.

11 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to PortImg at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are using the service in a harmful, fraudulent, or unlawful manner. You may stop using PortImg at any time by discontinuing use of the website or uninstalling the Android app.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of PortImg shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable territory. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, practices, or legal obligations. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page when updates are made. For significant changes — such as the introduction of advertising or new data practices — we will endeavour to provide prominent notice via the website or app. Your continued use of PortImg after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
