An online signature maker is a browser-based canvas tool that lets you draw a handwritten signature using a mouse, touchscreen, or stylus. Unlike font-based signature generators that render a typeface approximation, a draw-based tool captures your actual hand movements — producing a genuine, unique signature you can use in documents, PDFs, and government portals. The HTML5 Canvas API processes every stroke locally in your browser, so your signature never leaves your device.
Select "None" (transparent) in the Background panel before you start drawing. When you click the PNG or WebP download button, the saved file will have a fully transparent alpha channel. Open it in Word, Google Docs, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, or Canva and place it directly on top of text without any white rectangle showing behind it. Note: JPG format always produces a solid background — use PNG or WebP for transparency.
Most Indian government exam and banking portals require a signature image in JPEG format with a white background and specific dimensions. For SSC the required size is 236×79 pixels (10–20 KB). Use the SSC Sig preset (472×158px) for a high-resolution starting point, choose white background, sign with black or blue ink color, and download as JPG. Then use our SSC Photo Resizer to scale to the exact 236×79px and compress to under 20 KB before uploading to ssc.gov.in.
Draw slowly — slower pen movements produce smoother Bézier curves. Use a stroke width of 2–3px for a natural pen-like appearance, or 4–5px for a bold marker look. Choose navy blue (#1e3a5f) or pure black (#000000) for professional documents. On a touchscreen, use your dominant hand's index finger and rest your palm off the screen. For the most accurate result, use a tablet with an active stylus — an Apple Pencil or Samsung S Pen can reproduce your real handwriting almost perfectly.
